The Resident, Archant ltd | digital editor | February 2014 – present
I relaunched theresident.co.uk (a luxury London lifestyle website for The Resident portfolio of magazines) and took its audience from 6,000 UVs a month to over 50,000 UVs within a year, without a dedicated digital team and with no budget. I regularly create digital strategies, write unique content for the website, edit content produced by the magazine editors and ensure it is optimised for a digital readership. I monitor our audience using Google Analytics and Omniture, track user journeys and use the data to grow the website’s traffic. I am responsible for the direction and development of social media accounts, writing fortnightly newsletters and running all on and offline competitions and partnerships. I lead the commercial team on digital sales and work with them to build creative advertising solutions for small businesses. This has included running exclusive reader events, commissioning videos and various data collection methods.

Family Traveller Magazine | deputy digital editor | March 2013- January 2014
I assisted on the launch of a new publishing platform; working to take it from conception to a site that had 30,000 UVs a month. I developed, maintained and updated the website through the production of content and commissioning of freelancers. This involved drawing up strategies, enhancing content for search engines and optimising its reach through social media, as well as managing a select group of bloggers who contributed to the site. I worked closely with the sales team to create new digital revenue opportunities, as well as partnered with brands on promotions to engage further with our audience and collect data.

Pomp Magazine | Staff writer and acting production editor | January – March 2013
I took on a temporary role assisting with the production of a trilingual magazine (English, Chinese and Russian), with a circulation of 50,000 HNW individuals in London. I wrote the art section for the print issue and all online content, including social media. I developed, maintained and updated the website, ensuring a consistent voice, look and feel across the various digital platforms. Through my social media role I improved engagement with our audience.
Square Meal Venues & Events | Editorial assistant; reporter | May 2011-January 2013
Within a year of working at Square Meal I was promoted from editorial assistant to reporter as a result of my consistently good performance. As a member of the Square Meal editorial team I wrote news and features for three magazines (Square Meal Venues & Events; Square Meal Weddings and Square Meal Christmas), the website squaremeal.com and a fortnightly e-newsletter, which had an audience of 100,000. I tailored the articles to meet market trends and readership interest and was consistent in the tone and feel of the content both on and offline. I also worked on our social media accounts – mostly Twitter. I built strong relationships with advertisers and PR agencies, represented the brand at events and industry shows, and sourced and managed two Christmas gift guide photo shoots.
